American Express Insurance Review - Car, Home, Travel

American Express is one of the most popular companies in the world, not just in the UK. There is a list of different insurance coverage offered by them, with no less than ten choices to choose from. Quotes can be obtained from their website as well the information on what you will be covered against in it. Oh, and did I mention that American Express has also won several awards for being the best travel insurance provider of the year?

Here is a breakdown on some of their most popular products, and my overview on each of them.

• Car Insurance: First of all, I want to make sure that if you want to have a discount, you will be able to get one if you purchase a quote through their website. There are two different covers to choose form; Standard and Prestige, with Prestige being the most comprehensive. In both of these plans, you will be able to enjoy car rescue and courtesy car if you ever get collided into an accident.
• Home Insurance: Again, there are two covers that are available; Standard and Prestige. The good things about both of these plans are that they both include protection against ID theft as well as enjoy concierge service that is available anytime of the day or night. Both building and contents can be protected to help look after your house and the things inside it.
• Term Life Insurance: According to their website, it is stated that Life Insurance offered by American Express was made to be easy. You are covered for both death and terminal illness so you can be sure that you won’t need to pass away to directly benefit from your policy. How I saw it, you or your elected receiver, will be able to collect a lump sum of money when you pass away or if you are diagnosed with a terrible disease. In my opinion, this seems to be a pretty good deal.

There were also other types of insurance like golf insurance and travel insurance where you can find out more about them on their website. In some ways, both of these insurance are related because some people tend to play golf while they are on holiday. Whatever the case may be, I am positive that you will be able to enjoy some sort of benefit if you purchase one of them.

American Express in my view is a generally a trustworthy company that pays out claim. I searched through some forums to see what people were saying about them, and most of the reviews I found were positive. I read stories how customers were able to get excellent support even when they were overseas.
